Press Release

We are delighted to announce the 'Sunshine Coach' which the team raised funds for, on behalf of Variety, the Children's Charity, has been delivered to Redbridge High School in Liverpool.

The school has 150 pupils, all of whom either have severe learning difficulties, autism or complex needs. Some of the pupils also have life-limiting complex health needs that have a profound impact on theiro pportunities and on their wider family.

The coaches are specially-adapted, accessible minibuses that cater for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) schools and other non-profit organisations working with disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. Every coach that is provided to these children has a huge impact ontheir day-to-day life and ability to fulfil their potential.

"It is going to make a huge difference to us next academic year as we are Going to be on separate sites due to lack of space in this building so we will need the bus to move pupils around the city. It came at just the right time! Myself and the school community are eternally grateful for all your fundraisingand support".

Amanda Hesketh, Headteacher, Redbridge High School

It's fantastic to see the results of these challenges make such a difference tothe young people of Liverpool and the wider North West region. We can't waitfor 2025's challenge!
